Shakespeare said: “Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.” A woman who’s had her heart broken knows that sentiment all too well. She swears never to let another man be her everything or complete her. But at some point she reaches an impasse: Will this disappointment define her or strengthen her resolve in finding happiness and her soul mate?
It’s easy to say what we’d do in her shoes because we have luxury of being on the outside looking in. You see, this woman is more resilient than she’s given credit for. In spite of being rocked to her core by hurt, she refuses to become bitter. She’ll never utter the words of some of her counterparts, “I don’t need a man for anything.” But make no mistake, she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to be alone in her continued quest to find it. She has standards for both herself and her God given compliment.
She’s battle tested, having fought with herself, Corporate America, family and failed relationships. She knows a strong woman walks a fine line, searching for a balance between standing on her own two feet and relinquishing her vulnerability to a deserving man. She is willing and able to open her heart, but strictly to the one demonstrating he’ll treat it and her with care, because her heart, while cautious, is one of gold.
When she finds the one deserving of her unconditional love, she’ll exhale and smile proudly because FINALLY her love is on top.
